Hi, my name is Keidra Morrison and I am the daughter of James Morrison, who died in February 2003. My father was in the 1st battalion of the Gordon Highlanders from 1967-1979. He was born in Dundee but moved to Strichen, Aberdeenshire, when he married my mother, Cathleen Pirie, in 1967. My dad was so proud to be a Gordon Highlander and we were brought up with his love for that. It would have been his wedding anniversary this week, on 3rd June and I thought I would make an attempt on here to see if anyone knew my dad as it would cheer my mother up so much if someone contacted me to tell me that they knew my dad. I would love if anyone had any photos of my dad at any time while he served as a Highlander. He was so proud that we had the Bydand printed on his funeral of service and also he has the Bydand on his gravestone and I also, as a Solicitor and Notary Public have Bydand as my motto. If anyone knew my dad I would love to hear from you - u76km@o2.co.uk. Thanks Keidra Morrison

Once again the "Annual Waterloo Lunch" is looming. This year it will take place on Saturday 20th June at The London Scottish HQ, Westminster (so not clashing with G In The Park this year). Over the past couple of years, we have seated around 100 members and guests. We are expecting a few more this year, as The Waterloo Lunch is becoming a "Must do" for Gordon Highlanders in the London Area and beyond! We are always delighted to welcome our ladies and this year we welcome several members and guests who will be travelling South from Aberdeen and Inverness for the lunch. Anyone wanting more information, can contact me in the first instance and I will then direct them to the Luncheon Secretary. Regimental Regards to all, John Spoore, Hon. Secretary. jspoorewigmore @ tinyonline.co.uk

Hi Danny, you refer to how time has flown. Well one would confer this however "time" is a difficult conception to grapple with, especially if you consider time and space. When did they come into existence? Time can be seen from a number of prespectives, a Philosophical one and an Psychological one and "Actual" man-made one. Must admit all aspects of time are very intresting. Are you not glad to be out of the Army? I thought there was a lot of time-wasting going on there. Heh Heh

Signals, Recce, A Coy, B Coy, C Coy and HD Coy . Never quite made it to D Coy!!! Spent a lot of time away on postings to the Depot, PWO(Bosnia) and Warminster. had a great visit to the Highlanders in Feb 07 met with Lance Darling who is RQMS. Lance and the RSM showed us great hospitality and made us feel really welcome. I would recommend anyone who wants to "re-vist" do it sooner rather than later. I discovered that I can't drink port the way I used to be able to!!!
