The menu on the left gives you full access to this part of the web site.  The Information section offers information about Bydand's schedule, how to contact us, our equipment, etc.  The Special Features sections is updated regularly with photos, links, stories, our market, and other bits of entertainment.  The Gordon Highlanders link will take you to that section of the web site so that you can learn more about the Regiment itself.  We enjoy hearing from visitors, and encourage you to sign the Guest Book.  If you're looking for specific information, try the Search page.

Formed in 1989 out of a common love for Scottish Highland regiments and the Martini-Henry rifle, Bydand Forever now stands as one of North America's premier military historical organisations.  It is based in San Diego, CA, but with a branch in Tucson, AZ, and representatives throughout California, Washington, Pennsylvania, and even as far away as Australia.

The unit holds the honor of having been issued a Queen's Colour by Lt-Gen Sir Peter Graham on Waterloo Day (18 June) 1994, and these Colours are carried proudly into action for many of Bydand's appearances.  Bydand participated in many of the events surrounding the regiment's 200th anniversary in Aberdeen in 1994, including the Freedom of the City March through Aberdeen, and performing for HRH the Prince of Wales after the Trooping the Colours.  Bydand returned to Scotland for the 1997 Tall Ships Race, departing out of Aberdeen, and made a brief visit to Fort George as the guests of the Royal Highlanders.  In 2000, Bydand returned once again to the Northeast, this time spending a week at Fort George, giving daily performances there as well as at the Inverness Tattoo, and participating in the Huntly 2000 Millennium celebrations.  Our regular schedule is perhaps not quite so exciting, but every year some 250,000 spectators throughout the Western United States.

The tunes playing behind this page are 'The 92nd Quickstep' (used to march the Colours off to the Officers' Mess) and 'The Haughs of Cromdale' in quick time (used as Tattoo Last Post).
